Event description
🌿 Tai Chi and Qigong Thursdays at the Mullumbimby Community Garden
🌟 Self-development and personal transformation through internal martial arts and medical qigong.
🌈 Embark on a journey of self-discovery and well-being with Tai Chi Forest at the Mullumbimby Community Garden. Our Thursday afternoon sessions offer a unique blend of Yang and Wu style tai chi, rooted in the esteemed Cheng Man-ch'ing tai chi lineage.
Unlock the Benefits of Tai Chi: Tai Chi Forest isn't just a class; it's a sanctuary for personal growth. Tai chi is a meditative healing tradition rooted in martial arts that is renowned for promoting balance, flexibility, and mental clarity. As you gracefully move through the forms, you'll discover an oasis for relieving stress, improving posture, and enhancing overall well-being.
Elevate Your Health with Medical Qigong: Experience a holistic approach to health through medical qigong, addressing structural problems, improving digestive health and releasing the nervous system. Our practice integrates the ancient five animals organ qigong with concepts from the Energy Arts school of BK Frantzis, offering a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western approaches.
Dive into Baguazhang for a Deeper Exploration: For those seeking a profound journey into traditional Chinese internal martial arts, you can also delve into the dynamic spiralling art of Baguazhang. Rooted in the I Ching and eight palm changes, this sister art to tai chi brings a unique dimension to your practice. Tai Chi Forest, part of the Gao family lineage, ensures an authentic connection to the art's rich history.
Tailored Teaching in a Welcoming Environment: Our classes prioritise a small and informal setting, allowing us to tailor lessons to your individual needs. Preserving and passing on traditional teachings, we focus on enabling each student to reach their full potential. All abilities and ages are warmly welcomed.
Meet Your Guide: Aimo Javier, a Senior Instructor in the Zhong Ding Traditional Martial Arts Association, brings over two decades of tai chi and qigong expertise. With a passion for sharing his knowledge, Aimo also teaches Southeast Asian martial arts of Silat and Eskrima weekly during Warrior Wednesdays — an opportunity to explore self-defense and meditation with various implements (staff, sticks and blades).
Tea Ceremony Finale: Every session concludes with a soothing tea ceremony, included in the cost. It's a moment to reflect, connect, and appreciate the journey you're on with Tai Chi Forest.
🍃 Join us every Thursday and embark on a transformative journey at the Mullumbimby Community Garden. Let's cultivate balance, harmony, and well-being together!
