The University of Canterbury's Law Recruitment Evening is a great opportunity to recruit quality UC students and graduates, and raise your organisation's profile for future recruitment.

The Law Recruitment Evening will introduce you to prospective student and graduate employees, so you can market your organisation and inform students of employment and career opportunities within your organisation.

Registrations close on Friday 27 February 2026.

Registration for the fair is only confirmed once payment is received in full.

Registration price: $644.00 + GST (+ $21.97 Humanitix fee if ‘Pay by Card’ selected)

Quiet time
Please note that the first 30 minutes of the fair is designated as a ‘Quiet time’, specifically for students who may be otherwise challenged by large crowds and/or noises.

FAQs

What are my parking options for the event?

The Recruitment Evening takes place in the Rātā building on UC’s Ilam campus. There will be a designated drop off zone, and you can request parking for one vehicle on campus when you register.

What is included with my stand?

• Each stand is approx. 2.4m wide x 1.2m deep and includes velcro-receptive walls (1-3 sides), one table, tablecloth, two chairs and wireless internet access.

• Space for up to three representatives at your stand.

• Drop off zone close to the venue and allocated car parking within the campus.

• Assistance from student helpers.

• Catering in a dedicated ‘exhibitors’ area’. This includes afternoon tea, with tea, coffee and water available during the event.

• Publicity of your organisation’s attendance on Careers Fairs pages on the UC website, in communications to students and in the information flyer for students.

What's the refund policy?

Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 30 days prior to the event. Cancellations on or before this date will be accepted with a 100% refund excluding Humanitix fees. Regrettably, cancellations after this date will not receive a refund. Cancellations/Refunds can be requested through Humanitix.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, up until 14 days before the event (Thursday 5 March). Printed material will not be edited after this date. Online material will be updated where possible. You can edit your registration information on Humanitix.

Please note, before beginning your registration, that the registration form asks you to provide a company blurb, logo and website link, as well as the dietary and accessibility requirements of your representatives.
