Taiwan Update: Democracy, Disinformation and the 2024 Election 台灣民主論壇

The 2023 Taiwan Update will focus on Taiwan democracy and the impact of disinformation on Taiwan society. We are pleased to have Mr Pasuya Yao and Dr Chien-Jung (Mattel) Hsu from Taiwan to speak on these issues. 

Dr Mattel Hsu is currently Director of the Cybersecurity Technology Institute. He will be speaking on social media and disinformation in Taiwan.

Mr Pasuya Yao is a former politician in Taiwan and is the executive director of the Untold herstory, a film on the Taiwanese female political prisoner who are jailed I the Green Island. He will be sharing his experience as a former politician and as a film director on issues relating to Taiwan history.
