Take Notice
Event description
(UPDATE 12/9: this event is still going ahead, even though it falls on the one-off public holiday)
Taking Notice is all about paying attention to the present moment. Seems easy and it is, but sometimes in our busy lives we need a little help to ground ourselves.Â
Taking Notice can improve our mental wellbeing - it's one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, recommended for all of us by the Mental Health Foundation of NZ.
Taking notice can include noticing your thoughts, feelings, body and the world around you.
During this workshop you will learn how important taking notice is and tips and activities you can easily do in your daily life - to reconnect with our bodies and the sensations they experience - this can be as simple as - walking barefoot and feeling the grass beneath your feet.
Come along to this free workshop led by Life Coach and Rural Support Trust coordinator, Frances Beeston.Â
ALL WELCOME.Â
This is one of five events Keep Learning Mid Canterbury is organising for Mental Health Awareness Week promoting the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. This event is focusing on 'Take Notice'.Â
