Travel instructions
Keens Road is off SH 73 in between Sheffield and Springfield. It will be signposted from there
Entry instructions
Continue down Keens Road, past Frasers and Wright Roads and come down the hill. At the hairpin turn, follow the signage
After entry instructions
Please come and register on arrival, including spectators, grab a coffee and come and have some morning tea. Don't forget to bring some $ for the raffle tickets. All proceeds to the Canterbury West Coast Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service
Hazards
The first part of the day is being held at the gravel area of the Kowai River, near the Waimakariri River (which runs swiftly) so the rivers are a hazard as is the rocks and gravel. The weather - it is spring, so bring some warm clothes along with hat and sunscreen The last part of the day is a drive on a working farm, access kindly provided by Ivan Brown and Michelle Martin. Please stick to the tracks and be respectful of this privilege. We will do what we can to keep you safe. As we are both volunteer groups, entry and participation on the day are at your own risk - human and vehicle
