Event description

Take the Wheel – Women’s 4WD Skills Day

Ready to get behind the wheel and build confidence off-road? Then this is the event for you. This supportive, hands-on day is designed to empower women with the skills and knowledge to drive a 4WD safely and with confidence.

Whether it’s the farm ute, the family SUV, or a specialised off-road vehicle — our friendly coaches from the North Canterbury 4WD Club will be right there in the passenger seat, guiding you through practical skills and techniques in a safe, controlled environment.

📅 Sunday 19th October | 📍 Springfield | ⏰ 9am sign-in, 10am–3pm event

🎟️ $50 per Driver | Limited to 40 tickets. Spectactors welcome $20 each (both options include morning tea and lunch)

🍰 Morning tea provided by Rural Women NZ Darfield Glenroy Branch
🔥 BBQ lunch thanks to Darfield Bakery, Tim Sowman and Paddy Burke
☕ Screamin’ Beans coffee cart on site (coffee available to purchase)
🎁 Spot prizes & raffles

💡 No negativity, no pressure — just encouragement, empowerment and fun. The day finishes with a drive through farmland to put your new-found skills into action.

All proceeds go to the Canterbury West Coast Westpac Rescue Helicopter

As our 4wd trainers love a bit of mud, the day will be on sun, rain, hail or snow
