Taking Rest - A 1-Day Retreat

Taking Rest is a quiet, kind, gentle 1-day retreat set on the banks of Currumbin Creek at Currumbin on the Gold Coast. 

Here in mid-winter when our bodies, minds, hearts and spirits yearn to retreat and recharge before we turn towards the return of summer, I invite you to join me in feeling the delicious benefits of rest.  

Our day includes an expansive exploration of practices that soothe the nervous system, nourish the heart and calm the mind including...

• qigong
• yoga nidra
• mindfulness 
• quiet creativity
• reflection and gratitude

We will share delicious food and refreshments and relax in each other's company for the day.

Your facilitator and guide for the day is Alice MacKinnon, a qualified and experienced yoga and qigong instructor. Alice is a long-time facilitator of retreats and deeply respects the energy and wisdom we all bring to such gatherings. She is also a practitioner of yoga, qigong, mindfulness, zen and surfing.

The price of this retreat includes all activities, resources, refreshments and lunch.
