A TALE OF TWO

“There have been many great male & female duos in the past & A Tale of Two continues the tradition” - Americana Highways

A Tale of Two brings award-winning songwriting, Americana and blues melodies, and timeless Southern storytelling to Godfrey Daniels. Vocalist Stephanie Adlington and guitarist Aaron Lessard have earned recognition from the Folk Alliance International Conference, AMERICANAFEST, the Kerrville Folk Festival, and the Josie Music Awards, while sharing stages with artists including Mary Gauthier, Grayson Capps, and Peter Mulvey. Their songs are populated by revenge, drinking, sinners, and stories that unfold with intrigue and character. Add their onstage chemistry and sharp between-song banter, and you have a duo built for the intimate setting of a true Live Music Listening Room.

2024 AMERICANAFEST Official Showcase Artist

“Official Showcase Artist: 2022 Folk Alliance International Conference” & 2022 Kerrville "New Folk Songwriting Contest Finalist"

Combining the best of Americana and blues melodies with timeless Southern storytelling, award winning vocalist Stephanie Adlington and guitarist Aaron Lessard draw influence from the likes of Tom Waits and Ray LaMontagne, along with bedrock artists such as Patsy Cline and Hank Williams Sr. A Tale Of Two has opened for notable artists such as Mary Gauthier, Grayson Capps, and Peter Mulvey. Not unlike the artists who inspired them, the duo’s songs frequently dabble in stories of revenge, drinking and feature sinners of all stripes and persuasions.

Oozing an infectious stage presence and chemistry that carries over from the music to the back and forth banter between songs, “A Tale Of Two” offers a different kind of Americana – storytelling by a swampy pair of retro raconteurs spinning blues arias with soul, intrigue and power.

SO, WHAT IS A ‘MUSIC LISTENING ROOM’?

A music listening room is a dedicated space or venue designed to create an intimate and focused atmosphere for live music performances. The seating arrangement, acoustics, and overall ambiance of a music-listening room are carefully designed to enhance the listening experience, allowing for a more intimate and immersive encounter between the audience and the artists.
