Artists Murthovic and Thiruda lead 'Elsewhere in India', a collaborative electronica and transmedia project uniting artists, technologists, and cultural preservationists. Their multidisciplinary team merges expertise in digital art, traditional Indian performing arts, new media, and cultural studies. Using tools like game engines, motion capture, and AI, they craft vivid realms where cultural legacy meets South Asian Futurist Worldbuilding. Their mission is to reimagine cultural narratives bridging India's rich past with hopeful, speculative futures. Their work has been showcased internationally, including at MUTEK Montreal, Barbican, Sheffield DocFest, BFI London Film Festival, ACMI, CPH:DOX, Oz Asia and Adelaide Fringe.

Supported by a an IAS Fellowship, the artists are currently in residence at The Berndt Museum where they are looking at re-activating historic collections from India, and are working with animation students at the UWA School of Design.
