Come along and discover the remarkable story of Aotearoa's tiniest taonga - the Titipounamu/Rifleman - with botanist, educator and conservation champion, Shanta McPherson.
Shanta's involvement with Titipounamu spans more than half a century - from experimental nesting boxes in the 1960s continuing through to the present day on the Otago Peninsula. Shanta will share his observational approach and what decades of work have revealed about Titipounamu biology, their place in the forest ecosystem, and their conservation needs.
