Hear from Maree Clarke as she shares the story behind Seeing the Invisible, inspired by her time on Country and the significance of the Ginninderra Reed Necklace (1862)—a cultural object created by Aboriginal girls as a wedding gift to Minna Palmer.

Join a special discussion led by Maree Clarke, Virginia Rigney (CMAG Senior Curator), and Catherine Palmer (lender of the Ginninderra Reed Necklace) as they explore the deep cultural resonance of this work and the rare colonial-era friendship that helped shape it.
