Talk 'Tism To Me

This event has passed RSVP

Event description

This support group was created for neurodivergent folks who might have slipped through the cracks in life.

Davison Holistic is proud to host this weekly group meeting, led by Emily Guida.

Emily will offer her 30 years of personal experience and life lessons learned, backed up by her study of psychology and victimology in the criminal justice system.

This is not a therapy session as Emily is not a counselor. It is a support/coaching group in the style of "by the people for the people".

Meetings will be Mondays from 7-8:30 PM

The fee is $20, which helps cover Emily's time and the cost of the space.

At these meetings:

* Introduce yourselves so no one is left out or left wondering

* Share some struggles and ask the group some questions

* Learn some skills

* Build some resources

* Be with your people and make friends

"My alphabet hates itself. Like imagine someone says, "Think outside the box." My hyperactive mind creates a sphere and laughs at the box and researches for hours on end how much better spheres are . Then my Autism freaks out that I broke the rules without realising there were any, and wonders why we are supposed to think inside cardboard boxes in the first place. Surely being inside cardboard boxes isn't comfortable."
