Talkin' the Drum with Elliott Orr

Widely respected as the leading proponent of African Drumming in Queensland and NSW, musician Elliott Orr has been cultivating and sharing his deep love and knowledge of West African Djembe and Dunun music and their applications for over thirty years. His passionate and light-hearted teaching style creates a wonderful atmosphere for learning, sharing and celebration. It is a pleasure to be hosting Elliott in the Dandenong Ranges for a rare opportunity to bring his teachings to our local community. 

This special workshop event will cater for all levels of playing and will focus both on Dunun and Djembe music. Elliott will be bringing rhythm content inspired by his long association with the traditions of Ghana, Guinea and the Ivory Coast. All drums will be provided.
