TALKING SHOP: Renew your budget basics
Event description
Does money make your head hurt?
We've all been there. If you've ever felt sick at the sight of a spreadsheet, overwhelmed by the idea of fundraising or put off developing your business plan because it just feels too hard: this is for you.
Join us for a panel discussion (with pizza!) that will make money-wrangling a bit less scary, led by some of our favourite local experts. They'll show you how to break down the numbers so you can focus on doing what you do best: running your business.
We’ll be unpacking:
How to build a simple budget for your business
Tips, tricks and tools for managing your money
How to fundraise for your creative concept
What to do when things go wrong (and how to plan for it)
How to put a pricetag on your offering
Real-world stories about wins, mistakes, and how businesses just like you have made it work!
You’ll be hearing from:
Max Kim - Director, Bentleys SA/NT
Hannah Kothe - State Manager Development and Partnerships (SA/NT), Creative Australia
Eamonn Brennan - Owner, True Finance and Property
Harry Evans - Head of Property, Renew Adelaide
Your free ticket includes 1 x complimentary drink and some pizza from our good friends at Pie Square.
This event is open to small businesses, creatives and entrepreneurs in any industry, whether it’s retail, hospitality, the arts, health and wellness – you name it!
There’ll be plenty of time for audience questions after the panel, but if you’d like to sneak a question in ahead of time, we've provided a field for you to drop it into your ticket registration.
No longer able to make it? Let us know, so we can organise catering and offer your spot to someone else. We don't want that hot tasty pizza going to waste.
This event is part of Small Business Week, and funded by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency. It's part of Renew Adelaide’s ongoing Talking Shop series – a curated suite of events designed to arm small businesses and creatives with tips, tricks, inspo and knowledge (because knowledge = power)!
