CASTLEMAINE FRINGE FESTIVAL PRESENTS...
FRINGE BINGE: TALKING WALLS @ SAC'O'SUDS
Ever wanted to explore and draw the streets of your own town, guided by a local artist?
Join artist Emily Fong on a Fringe Binge, walking and drawing between the Sac’O’Suds Launderette and a historic building in town. There are 3 Fringe Binge walks. Two on Saturday the 22nd March, and one on Tuesday night the 1st March.
Have a story to tell about the old buildings in town?
Join artist Emily Fong and writer Laura Keogh back at the Launderette for a creative interview and live portrait drawing session on Saturday the 5th April between 10am-5pm. There are 12 interview places (all free) but registration is required.
Your drawings and stories will contribute to a live exhibition in the Launderette and give voice to an architectural gem.
Buildings we will explore through drawing & storytelling:
- Faulder Watson/Telegraph Station
- State Bank (now Cantwells)
- Imperial Hotel
- Castlemaine Art Gallery
- Castlemaine Railway Station/Goods Shed
- Midland Hotel
All Ages.
