Event description

The Tamar Valley Leaders Lunches return in 2025 with a powerful series of conversations exploring place-based leadership, regional growth, and the impact of collaboration.

This second event in the series focuses on the West Tamar Council—a local government area that plays a vital role in shaping the Tamar Valley’s economic, social, and environmental future.

The West Tamar is a region of contrasts and opportunity: from the industrial engine room of Bell Bay, to thriving agricultural land, rapidly growing residential communities, and world-class natural and cultural attractions. The challenges of growth, infrastructure and sustainability are real—and require joined-up leadership.

This Leaders Lunch explores how local government and the private sector can work together to unlock investment, respond to community needs, and ensure long-term prosperity for the Tamar Valley.

Key Themes:

  • Building effective partnerships between council and business
  • Regional planning, infrastructure, and economic diversification
  • Leadership that delivers for place, people, and future generations
