To access this session you must be a member of Support Staffordshire delivering support/services specifically in the Tamworth locality. We reserve the right to charge you for your ticket if you are not a member, and your organisation does not directly support the Tamworth locality.

Who should attend:
This session is aimed at Trustees/Directors/Committee members and senior staff in organisations seeking to broaden their senior leadership team, or organisations developing a succession plan for their senior team
Overview:
Concerned about the diversity of your organisation? Worried about succession planning in relation to your Trustees? Then come and explore how to encourage younger individuals to join your organisation and support the work that it does.
There are benefits to having a range of voices working at a strategic level in our organisations and this session not only focusses on these benefits and the benefits for the individuals themselves, but how to tailor your recruitment and appointment systems to find and retain them.
Learning Outcomes:
Identify the skills and experience needed for an effective committee/board of trustees
Create an inclusive recruitment process to encourage young trustees
Design a personalised induction process
Evaluate effective, inclusive and supportive meeting processes
Explore effective communication skills to ensure a young person's voice is heard
