Event description

ARONUI Indigenous Arts Festival and Wahanui Productions present ‘Tangihanga’ a one woman solo show by Kristyl Neho.

Tangihanga returns to Rotorua in its final evolution - a bold 75-minute solo drama-comedy performed by Kristyl Neho. Centred on Jess, a devoted daughter navigating grief at her father’s tangi, the play unpacks whānau tensions, hidden truths, and cultural identity. Neho brings over 30 characters to life in this powerful, moving, and often hilarious performance.

Dive into the heart of a Maori whānau with 'Tangihanga', where tensions, dramas, and the bonds of family intertwine amidst grief and tradition.
