With migrant origins in the Rívo de la Plata region (Argentina, Uruguay) modern Social Tango is now a global phenomenon - the ultimate way to relate authentically through an embodied language ... connecting, dancing and sharing without words.

Primarily improvised, it allows for a great deal of personal self-expression. Yet, for a tango to be successful in connection, intimacy, and pleasure, it requires the understanding of a shared, physical language: the FUNdamentals of Tango.

And the experience of it in play (practica).

Once embraced, Tango FUN opens up the body, allows for greater creative expression, and increases your satisfaction of the in-the-body experience.

Once the FUNdamentals are understood, the dance can be creatively deepened in its practice. It can be shared with family, friends, lovers, sisters, brothers AND even strangers.

Join us in this workshop and connect in with our growing Northern Rivers Tango family.

We will be walking for most of the time, so wear comfy clothes and shoes that are easy to walk backwards, forwards and sideways, and can pivot with some ease on a wooden floor. Otherwise, socks work too.
