Tannin Dyeing workshop with Helen Coleman

Explore the art and science of natural dyeing with tannin-rich plants in this fun, hands-on, 2-day workshop Tuesday - Wednesday

Participants will learn how to extract and test tannin dyes from locally sourced plant materials, then use mordant mark-making and printing techniques to create their own colourful designs on cotton fabric. All materials, equipment and workshop notes provided, suitable for beginners.

Participants to bring: notebook and pen, water bottle, empty 2L container with lid (e.g. 2L milk container).

Wear suitable warm clothing and covered shows, participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch to have after the workshop. Morning tea supplied
