Get ready for an engaging, active wānanga exploring Taonga Tākaro - traditional Māori games!
Te Huka Tai Trust is bringing Sofia Tuala, aka Warrior Princess, from South Canterbury to Hakatere Marae to teach us some great kēmu (games).
Suitable for adults, teens and children 8 years old and above, this wānanga will introduce participants to kēmu suitable for all ages and all abilities. These kēmu encourage development of motor skills, leadership, connection and are just a lot of fun!
You will experience Te Reo Māori & learn some whakapapa of the kēmu.
