Tapasā x First Year Narratives End of Project Launch Event
Event description
We are excited to invite you to the Tapasā x First Year Narratives Collaborative Year-End Wrap-Up.
The occasion highlights two unique initiatives under the UTS Student as Partners Project Grants Program:
- Tapasā: Pasifika Student Empowerment Initiative – A program dedicated to supporting Pasifika students through mentorship, peer tutoring, and culturally relevant workshops, helping to build a strong sense of belonging, academic confidence, and community at UTS.
- First Year Narratives – A digital storytelling project that amplifies the voices of students, sharing personal experiences to highlight the diverse journeys in and through university life – their stories and experiences contribute to making UTS an inclusive learning environment.
The evening will include Tapasā’s Final Professional Speaker Series, featuring a keynote address by industry expert, Kesaia Takau (Ausgrid Apprentice Operations Program Manager). Additionally, First Year Narratives student partner, Leila Ledua, will present a keynote speech prior to the premiere screening of the FYN Digital Storytelling Project, highlighting the personal journeys of underrepresented students.
