Rest in Essence - TAR3 Psychological First Aid Training

Many professionals are coached on how to support another person through a
medical crisis event using the DRSABC First Aid framework. However, what happens if the person you want to support is having a psychological crisis?
The TAR3 program will coach you on an evidence-based approach to supporting clients/participants during an episode of psychological distress. This framework can be used in any moment to improve outcomes, enhance
safety, and save time and valuable resources.

In this 90-minute training session you and your team will learn:

-Why mental health challenges are more prevalent than ever and your role in improving mental health outcomes for clients

-The neurobiology of psychological distress and the informed approach to understanding distress behaviours

-An evidence-based approach (PhD research) on how to provide the most effective ‘in-the-moment’ de-escalation response to support clients experiencing an episode of distress

-Individual and systemic responses to enhance outcomes associated with psychological distress

-How to accurately assess the indicators of escalating distress and how to match the appropriate and effective response
