Description

About the Event:

We're excited to announce another great Taranaki Branch event:

Following the identification of a defect on the Maui Pipeline, Firstgas undertook a complex repair project involving the replacement of a section of DN750 transmission pipeline. The pipeline helps supply natural gas to more than 300,000 homes, businesses, and industrial users across the North Island, making continuity of service a key project objective.

This presentation shares the project management story behind the repair, covering planning, design, stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, constructability, and execution. Attendees will gain insights into managing a high-consequence infrastructure project where safety, operational continuity, environmental considerations, schedule certainty, and stakeholder alignment were critical to success. The session will highlight key lessons learned, challenges and risk mitigation approaches.

Join us for an insightful discussion, followed by drinks and nibbles.
