Event description

TARANAKI REGEN PRESENTS

A Round the Mountain Discussion Group Series

FIRST DISCUSSION: Thursday 6th July 2023, 11.15AM TO 1.30PM @ TIKORANGI HALL + LOCAL FARM.

You're invited!

Join us on a journey of learning the fundamentals and mindset of Regenerative Farming.
Achieved through farmer led learning and focus topics spread out over a year.

This first discussion group will be held at Tikorangi Hall and visiting Brooke and Matt Laurence's Dairy Farm.

We'll focus on introducing Regen Ag and what we plan to cover in the series. We want to welcome you on a journey of learning that inspires you and offers practical support as part of a collaborative network. Brooke and Matt will lead you through what they are doing with their farm and share their successes and learning. The practical on farm component of this day will be learning to do some baseline measurements including a Visual Soil Assessment, Slake and Infiltration Test.

Each event aims to build on your knowledge and over the year we hope to help you gain a whole farm systems view of Regen Ag.

Topics we will cover include: Mindset, grazing management, stock health, soil biology, soil food, testing of soil, herbage and water health, transitioning, financials, integrating trees and shrubs, carbon, outcomes, community, connection and more.

The first discussion group is free! This includes lunch.

Registration is required for catering and handouts.
