TARINI + distract!ons
Tarini is a Canberra-based singer and producer crafting dark alternative pop from intimate vocals, brooding synths and bass-heavy drums. She first emerged in 2020 with her moody, downtempo single ‘Do You Wanna Dance’, and now returns to the local scene with a new body of unreleased material.

For this performance, Tarini will be joined by distract!ons, the electronic project of Canberra producer Aaron Gaffney, bringing her songs into a live setting through a blend of vocals, guitar and electronic production. The set will move between dark, atmospheric electronic pop and unexpected detours into R&B and soul, with a few surprises along the way. Together they will debut new material in an immersive live performance. 

JUNIA
JUNIA is an unauthorised woman born into an unacknowledged empire on the unceded indigenous lands of Ngunnawal & Ngambri people. She is a worm in civilisation's spiritual compost heap, digesting propaganda, ecocide, and bigotry into anarcho-pop bangers. Her debut album The End of the World will come out in December 2026.

TENDA
Combining the feel of soul, funk and r&b, TENDA brings high vibration sound and storytelling through melodic, deeply felt music.

TENDA is an invitation - where we come to feel as a collective, where music unites, and togetherness moves us.

Joined on this special evening for a trio with Naomi Smith (drums) and Claudia Tetreault-Percy (vocals),  Beth Becomes Her brings her signature soul and folk vocals and guitar to Dissent. We can’t wait to show you what three women, three harmonising voices, one guitar and one drum kit and pad can create.
