TAROT - Fremantle 1 day workshop
Event description
We'll explore some of the history, uses, meanings, and development of tarot across time. This will primarily be a journey through the trumps or Major Arcana, with some readings, making sense of the suits, and incidental insights...
The structure of the tarot - looking at the deck, its history, and looking at the images;
Reading as narrative - ‘look and speak’; the pips, the courts, the elements and the four implements; sensitivity and integrity in reading;
Studying tarot: some guidelines.
Though I'll be using the Marseille as a basis for the exploration, other tarot decks will also be used.
You do not need to have your own deck, but if you do, please do bring it along!
Some of the references will be from my book Reading the Marseille Tarot, but much of this exploration will stem from a range of materials, some of which formed part of my former online encyclopedia of tarot (tarotpedia).
Suitable for both those with little knowledge of tarot, and the more seasoned enthusiast.Â
Jean-Michel David has a long passion for tarot and his work has international recognition.
