    Alumni who are aspiring, current or retired members of the legal profession are invited to join Old Scotch Collegians and PLC Old Collegians for our annual Tartan Lawyers’ Breakfast. A light breakfast will be provided, along with the opportunity to network with peers and hear from our guest speakers.

    The Hon Justice Neil McKerracher
    Neil McKerracher QC was appointed to the Federal Court on 15 October 2007. His Honour generally practised in commercial and civil disputes until his appointment to the Bench. He took silk in 1997 and was actively involved in several professional bodies and served for 15 years as a Director, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of WA Bar Chambers Ltd. Justice McKerracher also served as an acting Commissioner of the Corruption and Crime Commission (the CCC), a Senior Sessional Member of the State Administrative Tribunal and as a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He has chaired several educational and sporting institutions.

    Jenny Thornton
    Jenny Thornton was previously a Partner in the commercial litigation departments of Parker & Parker, Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) and Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters). In September 2012 Jenny established Clyde & Co's office in Perth and was the Managing Partner there before joining Quayside Chambers in 2017.
    In 2017, Jenny was named by Best Lawyers as Insurance Lawyer of the Year for Western Australia and was recognised by Doyle's Guide as a Leading Insurance Law Barrister Rankings - Western Australia, 2017. She was also awarded the Chief Justice's prize for Best Performed Reader at the 2017 WABA Bar Readers Course.
