    Event description

This year's visit by King Charles III will shine a spotlight on the fact that Australia, an independent country since 1986, still has a British monarch as our Head of State.

It’s out-of-date and un-Australian - but how do we fix it? How do we achieve bi-partisan support for a republic with an Australian Head of State?

Join us for dinner as we discuss 'The King of Australia' with special guest speaker Bridget Archer MP, Liberal Member for Bass.

We'd like to hear your thoughts - audience participation will be a focus for this event.

Location: Jude's Cafe, Tailrace Centre, 1 Waterfront Drive, Launceston.

    Cost: $40/head

Please arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Numbers are limited - please be sure to get your tickets now.

Please advise of any dietary requirements by emailing Tasmanian Convenor Wendy Le Cornu at tas@republic.org.au.
