Tas Whisky Week - Coastal Whisky and Grazing
Event description
Join Waubs Harbour for an extended Tas Whisky Week exclusive tour of their maritime distillery on the East Coast of Tasmania.
Waubs Harbour distillery, once an old oyster hatchery, sits on the edge of the ocean in the old fishing town of Bicheno. They lovingly converted the building into a world class production facility crafting award-winning maritime Tasmanian single malt whisky.
There are hundreds of casks maturing in their salt-laden bond stores and a cooling system powered entirely by the ocean. Experience a behind the scenes guided tour including a peak into their entire production facility including mash house, still room, bond stores (barrel warehouses) and cooperage. You’ll witness the harmonious blend of nature and craftsmanship that defines Waubs Harbours’ whisky-making process
Head distiller Rob Polmear will take you through several Waubs Harbour recently released whiskies in the tasting room, while you enjoy a locally sourced grazing platter overlooking the breath-taking Waubs Harbour while the sun sets into the ocean.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to visit the Waubs Harbour Distillery – an absolute must for any whisky aficionado exploring the East Coast of Tasmania.
