About the workshop:
Celebrate Tasmania’s unique wildlife in this playful and expressive drawing workshop. Learn how to simplify shapes, use bold colour, and bring personality to your favourite local animals — from quolls to devils to swift parrots. No experience needed — just imagination and curiosity!
About the facilitator:
Natalia Bennett is a Tasmanian-based visual artist and illustrator whose work blends bold colour, natural forms, and symbolic storytelling. With a background in fine art, design, and illustration, her practice spans murals, exhibitions, and community workshops across the state. Natalia’s work often centres on stillness, connection to place, and the stories of endangered species — combining expressive linework with educational and emotional depth. She’s passionate about creating safe, supportive creative spaces for young people to explore identity, emotion, and imagination.
About Louie:
Louie is Natalia's service dog. He will be helping Natalia out on the day, Louie is very gentle and friendly. If you have any questions email info@kickstart.org.au.
