Burlesque Tassel Twirl Workshop with Empress Eyrie

Do you want to learn how to tassel twirl like a burlesque badass? Now you can with this comprehensive workshop from Empress Eyrie!

Learn everything you need to know about burlesque tassel twirling in this fun and inclusive workshop!

Over three hours learn;

• The history of burlesque pasties

• Theory of how to make pasties

• How to twirl tassels in multiple ways and directions

• Learn a short tassel twirl dance routine

So come along and learn a new skill, feel more confident in your body and have a lot of laughs!

Open to all experience levels, abilities, genders and body types!

WHAT TO BRING:

Water bottle. Comfortable clothes you can move in, two piece outfit suggested such as leggings + top not a dress/bodysuit. Sneakers or dance heels. Snacks for mid workshop break if wanted (no peanuts). Something to take notes on if you wish.
All participants are provided a pair of student beginner pasties to learn with, this is a requirement so that everyone can learn the same way, you will be asked to pick a size in a follow up email, if you do not reply you will receive a 5cm diameter pair. If you are allergic to latex please make it known prior to workshop.

18+ Only Event - CONTAINS NUDITY - Participants are under no obligation to take their clothes off and it is possible to learn in a shirt/bra, however there will be topless people in the room, you must be polite and respectful, anyone making any other participants uncomfortable will be asked to leave no hesitation. Zero tolerance on harassment, this is a body positive and accepting space.

ACCESSIBILTY:

Venue is ground floor with sliding door at the main entrance, there is a car park near by with disability parking, but very limited places, there is also parking further down emu bank. Venue is a short walk from the Belconnen bus interchange/Westfield. No stairs or ramps to access building all flat floor. Large disability bathroom just outside the studio door in the gallery and small single stall bathroom and changing area in the studio space. Class can be taken seated or standing. Empress Eyrie is disabled and is happy to accommodate as much as possible. If you have an issue with a movement please do not push your body further than comfortable.

* T&C: Workshop is non refundable unless cancelled by host, tickets may be passed on but original ticket holder MUST email and inform of change, if less than 5 days before workshop pasties size selection cannot be changed. Not every body is capable of every twirl style and I will do the best I can for each ability but host is not responsible if a participant is not able to do a certain twirl style. Host reserves the right to remove anyone from the class for antisocial/unkind behaviours and their booking fee is forfeit.
