Event description

This is a short (1 hour) taster workshop where you will make a leaf imprint dish. This is a special offering as part of the Tasmanian Autumn Festival for April 2025.

Never done pottery before or just want a short fun activity for yourself or your group? Come along and have a go!

Bring your leaf/leaves you have picked up from one of the beautiful Autumn trees in and around New Norfolk or pick one from my property. The best leaves for imprinting have strong defined leaf ribbing on the back. Your finished dish will be approximately 10/11cm diameter.

Suitable for ages 8 and up. Children 8 to 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult. The skill abilities required are the same as using a rolling pin with some thought and care to achieve a slab of consistent thickness and size (similar skills to rolling pastry for a pie).

Private group - if you have a group of 4 to 7 and can't find a scheduled workshop date that suits or want one during the week? Email me and I will set one up for you where possible. lisa_west111@me.com

You will leave your dish to dry and to be fired and glazed with pick up in a couple of weeks. If you are travelling it can be posted to you in Australia for an extra cost (Australia Post + packaging).
