Tassie Tides Sparkling Lunch
Event description
Savour a four-course seafood lunch paired with delicious Small Wonder wines in their new, state-of-the-art winery in Kayena. This Effervescence Tasmania event will showcase Small Wonder’s prestigious BEST VINTAGE SPARKLING trophy winner at the 2024 Tasmanian Wine Awards; the 2021 Small Blanc de Blancs, alongside its shadow wine, the 2021 Blanc de Noirs.
Menu includes:
ROAMING CANAPÉS
Freshly shucked oysters, raspberry champagne mignonette
Kingfish sashimi, toasted nori rice cracker, avocado + wasabi
Poached prawns, garden leaves + herbs, nuoc mam ot xanh dipping sauce
ENTRÉE
Chargrilled octopus, toasted pine nut vinaigrette
Seared scallop, nduja butter + sourdough crumb
FIRST COURSE
Blue-eye trevalla, yellow coconut curry, pickled papaya, mint + crispy fish
Side: pandan coconut rice + charred greens, smashed peas + purple cabbage sprouts
SECOND COURSE
Pan-fried flathead, tahini cabbage, koji butter sauce, preserved lemon + tomato jam
Side: Crisp fried chat potatoes, garlic parsley butter, sour cream + chives
DESSERT
Fruit bread + butter pudding “brulee”
Coffee praline ganache tart, mascarpone, cocoa nibs + rich chocolate

Your ticket price includes your meal and 5 glasses of wine. You can also book transport to and from Launceston for $45 per person; quite reasonable considering it's a 35-minute trip each way!
