Taste and Talent
Event description
🍽️ One Kitchen, One Stage, Unlimited Heart
Flamingos Live throws open its doors for Taste and Talent live show. – Our first show where Newcastle’s favourite comfort dishes meet the city’s brightest up-and-coming performers.
No fancy gimmicks, just good food, honest music and a room full of neighbours cheering each other on.
🐟 Simple Plates, Done Perfectly
Our in-house chef keeps it real and delicious: crisp Barramundi Fish & Chips, golden Arancini, and rotating specials built around “best-at-market” produce picked that very morning.
It’s the food you crave after a long week – plated hot, served fast and paired with local beer or a glass of Hunter shiraz.
🎤 A Real Stage for Rising Stars
Taste and Talen will spotlight two (or perhaps more) artists. These can be a soulful singer, a blues guitarist or a three-piece indie band – giving them a full set, real theatre lights and an audience that actually listens. It’s our way of saying, “Talent matters here, and community backs it.”
This time we wil be seeing and listen to two artists that you may already know. David Wildey will be our first set entertainer, this followed by Kalani Artis in our second set. There maybe some other surprises too.
🤝 Community You Can Taste
Every ticket you buy keeps a local muso gigging, a local farmer growing and our kitchen bustling. Clap between songs, chat to other interested music lovers and help us celebrate our local talent, feel the room knit together over shared stories and shared plates.
💌 Why This Beats Another Night on the Couch
Streaming can feed your ears, takeaway can fill your belly – but Taste and Talent live show feeds your sense of belonging. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a new local act to follow, and the warm reminder that Newcastle is overflowing with home-grown flavour and flair.
🚀 Book Your Seat, Grab a Table, Bring a Friend & Your Appetite
Seats disappear quickly when great chow meets live music. Round up friends who love fish & chips done right, who cheer loud for local talent, and who value a night that feels both laid-back and unforgettable.
