Embodied Living - Sacred Relating - Tantric Wisdom

Over the course of the festival, you'll have access to more than 30 workshops, evening programs, performances, temple experiences, sharing circles, markets, yummy food, drinks and sweets, healers, massage therapists, live music, and nightly DJs in a cosy heated winter warmer urban festival venue.

Please take a few moments to read through the information below so you arrive feeling prepared, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the experience.

Please note that there is no onsite parking available, and parking in the surrounding area can be limited.

We strongly recommend using public transport, rideshare services, or booking nearby accommodation.

Please arrive early and allow enough time to check in, settle in, and find your workshop space.

💙 Consent & Boundary Workshops

Each day from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in the Woom Room, we offer a Consent & Boundary Workshop, with different content presented each day.

We encourage all participants to attend at least one of these workshops over the weekend.

After participating, you will receive a Blue Wristband.

While not having a Blue Wristband does not mean someone lacks experience with consent or communication, these workshops provide valuable opportunities to refine your verbal consent skills, boundary awareness, communication, and relational intelligence.

Wearing a Blue Wristband lets others know that you have participated in one of the festival's consent and boundary trainings and are committed to cultivating a consent-conscious culture.

We highly recommend attending one of these workshops as part of your festival experience.

Workshop Chilli Ratings

Our festival offers a beautiful range of experiences including movement, dance, tantric philosophy, relationship skills, body de-armouring, healing practices, ritual, personal growth, heart-opening experiences, and workshops that may include sensual or sexual themes.

To help you choose experiences that feel right for you, we use a simple Chilli Rating System throughout the program.

🌶 Non-Sensual
Focuses on healing, embodiment, movement, relationships, communication, personal growth, and connection.

🌶🌶 Optional Sensuality
May include invitations into sensual connection, conscious touch, intimacy, or heart-centred exploration. Participation is always optional.

🌶🌶🌶 Optional Sexuality
May include discussions, demonstrations, or experiences involving sexuality or erotic energy. You are always welcome to participate at the level that feels comfortable for you. Engaging in any sexual practices is never required and all participation is by choice and consent.

Please choose experiences that feel right for you and honour both your own boundaries and those of others.

Workshop Arrival Times

Please arrive on time for all workshops.

Many sessions have a closed-door policy after 10 minutes, and late arrivals may not be permitted to enter.

Some workshops may also reach capacity, so arriving early is recommended if there is a session you are particularly excited to attend.

What To Bring (if possible)

• Change of clothes for evening events and dancing

• Large towel, sarong, or single sheet (shower if needed onsite)

• Cushion, meditation cushion, yoga mat/bolster, or something comfortable to sit on

• Reusable water bottle

• Massage oil

• Personal lubricant

• Safer sex supplies

• Warm socks, cosy blanket

• Shawl, jumper, robe, or extra layer for travelling to and from the venue

• Watch or small clock to keep track of time

There is a cloak room at the venue where you can leave your things during the day. Please leave no valuables in the cloak room. The rooms are equipped with yoga mats, mattress and cushions but please bring if easy enough also something for yourself from home.

Stay Warm

There is heating throughout the workshop spaces and indoor areas, so you'll stay comfortable while inside.

That said, Melbourne weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mornings and evenings, so we encourage you to come snug, warm, comfortable, and perhaps a little sexy too.

Layers, robes, shawls, wraps, warm socks, beautiful festival wear, and comfortable clothing are all encouraged.

Chai, Treats & Meals

Sweet treats, elixirs, cacao, and chai will be available throughout the festival. Bring cash to purchase these delights.

If you have ordered a meal package (before June 8th), your will receive your food in the main hall during meal breaks. If you didn't, don't fear! You can bring food with you, or there are plenty of options nearby to the venue.

📵 Phone Free Festival

To support deeper connection, mobile phone use is prohibited in public spaces and workshop areas throughout the festival.

A designated phone zone with charging facilities and Wi-Fi access will be available near Registration in the downstairs hang out community open plan kitchen space.

If you need to use your phone, please do so in the designated area ONLY.

We will ring a large gong 10mins before each session starts so you do not need to worry about time tracking while there.

🚭 Smoking

A designated smoking area for cigarettes only is located upstairs on the deck reachable through the main hall.

Please do not smoke anywhere else onsite.

🌿 Drug & Alcohol-Free Event

Taste of Love is a strictly drug and alcohol-free festival.

Throughout the weekend, we explore connection, embodiment, intimacy, emotional vulnerability, authenticity, celebration, and expanded states of awareness. These spaces can evoke deep emotions, profound connection, heightened sensitivity, ecstatic experiences, and powerful life-force energy.

We believe the most meaningful way to meet ourselves and each other is with full presence, clarity, and personal agency. One of the beautiful discoveries many participants make is that the body naturally generates its own extraordinary chemistry through connection, movement, breath, touch, dance, emotion, and community.

To support a safe, conscious, and trustworthy environment for everyone, we ask all participants to arrive and participate sober.

Participants who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be asked to leave the festival for the remainder of the day and are welcome to return once they are sober and able to fully participate in the container.

Nudity Friendly

Taste of Love is a nudity-friendly festival.

Sometimes, through movement, embodiment, empowerment, healing, and personal expression, people naturally feel called to remove layers and return to a more natural state of being. Nudity is welcome within the festival environment and can be a beautiful expression of freedom, authenticity, and body acceptance.

Equally, there is absolutely no expectation to be nude at any time. Many participants remain clothed throughout the entire festival. We encourage everyone to express themselves in whatever way feels most comfortable and authentic.

If you choose to be nude, please remember that your nudity is your responsibility. There must always be a barrier between your genitals and any public furniture, mattresses, cushions, pillows, or seating. We ask everyone to support this standard of hygiene and help maintain a clean and respectful environment for all participants.

Personal Hygiene

Personal hygiene is an important part of creating a comfortable, enjoyable, and respectful environment, particularly at an event that includes movement, dance, embodiment practices, intimacy, and connection.

Please arrive each day freshly showered and take care of your personal hygiene throughout the weekend. We encourage participants to bring any personal care items they may need, including deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, and other essentials.

Bathroom facilities are available onsite, and limited shower access may also be available.

Being mindful of personal hygiene, fresh breath, body odour, and general self-care helps create a more pleasant experience for everyone and supports the wellbeing of our shared festival community.

Consent, Privacy & Community Care

Taste of Love is an explorative field of human interaction where consent is foundational.

Please take time to read the Festival Code of Ethics.

A few important reminders:

• Consent is required for all touch and interaction.

• Photography and videography by attendees is not permitted except with consenting friends in the designated photo booth in the main hall.

• Official photographers and videographers will be clearly identified.

• No photos with nudity will be used publicly.

• If you do not wish to appear in any media, simply request a No Photo Wristband at registration.

• Onsite counsellors and support team members are available throughout the festival. First Aid personnel as well, but please bring anything you may need for your personal medical needs.

• If you are attending as a couple or have agreements with a partner at home, please speak about your boundaries and desires before arriving and only change your agreements if all of you agree, not without checking in. At Taste of Love we care, we are here to play, learn and grow together and make new friends.

Lost & Found

Lost property will be held for 2 weeks after the festival.

Please check the Lost & Found area before leaving the venue and ensure you take all belongings home with you.
