Taste the Change: Thrive on Every Bite - AlterCOP 30 Day 4
Event description
A vibrant cooking demonstration that brings sustainability to the table - literally.
Led by nutrition and dietetics student and chef Rachel McGlashan, along with her nutrition and dietitian's colleagues, this session showcases how to create nourishing meals using local produce and pantry staples already in your home. Discover practical ways to reduce food waste, stretch your ingredients further, and make every bite count for your health and the planet.
With roving microphones and open discussion, we’ll invite the audience to share their own tips, ask questions, and reflect on how everyday choices shape our food systems. Whether you're a seasoned home cook or just starting out, this is a chance to rethink what’s possible in your kitchen and leave inspired to cook with purpose.
About AlterCOP
Co-founded by The Matcha Initiative and The Transmutation Principle, AlterCOP Summits aim to keep corporate and the public informed of COP proceedings and outcomes, facilitate discourse and knowledge learning on corporate sustainability in a localised context, foster collaboration among various actors (professionals, academics, youth, NPOs, community groups, and policymakers) and inspire action.
As Australia prepares to potentially host COP31, we have a unique opportunity and responsibility to open up climate dialogue to all and show that local actions to mitigate and adapt to climate change are already happening across different communities.
Running alongside the United Nations (UN) COP30 agenda, the four-day event will foster grassroots ownership of global climate goals while amplifying local and regional engagement across Australia.
