A Taster of Love is a warm, playful and welcoming introduction to the world of the Taste of Love Tantra Festival Gympie.

Across the day and evening, you’ll be guided through accessible practices exploring meditation, breath, embodiment, authentic relating, emotional awareness, movement, consent, touch, play and the foundations of Tantra.

Whether you are completely new to Tantra or have explored it before, this event offers a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with your body and experience new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Come on your own, with friends or with a partner. No previous experience is required.

A Taster of Love – Day Workshop

The day workshop introduces some of the practices and principles at the heart of the Taste of Love Festival.

At Taste of Love, we see Tantra as far more than sexuality or intimacy. Rooted in ancient wisdom, Tantra is a path of becoming more present, more embodied and more fully alive. It invites us to listen to the body, become more aware of our energy and emotions, and relate to ourselves and others with greater honesty, curiosity and care.

Through stillness, movement, breath and guided interaction, you’ll begin to experience simple yet powerful practices that can help you come home to your body, open your heart and deepen your capacity for connection.

What you’ll explore

Embodiment and breath

Use movement, meditation and breath to quiet the mind, become more present and notice what is happening within your body.

Heart-opening connection

Explore practices that support emotional awareness, presence and authentic connection with yourself and others.

Consent and boundaries

Learn and strengthen practical ways of communicating your boundaries, listening to another person’s boundaries and recognising an authentic yes, no or maybe.

Conscious touch

Explore the power of intentional touch through carefully guided, optional practices. Depending on the exercise, this may include nurturing or sensual touch, with clear communication and consent at every step.

Giving and receiving

Notice how it feels to offer, receive, ask for what you want and remain connected to your own needs while engaging with someone else.

Tantric principles and rituals

Experience introductory practices that bring together presence, breath, awareness, energy, movement and connection—the foundations of experiences explored more deeply at the full festival.

The program is accessible, trauma-informed and beginner-friendly. Every practice is invitational, and alternatives will be available wherever possible.

A Taster Temple Party

As the daytime workshops come to a close, we invite you into an evening of music, movement, connection and playful exploration.

The Taster Temple Party offers a gentle introduction to the Temple experiences held at Taste of Love. It is an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the festival community while exploring embodiment, authenticity, sensuality, conscious connection and the art of being fully present with yourself and others.

Throughout the evening, you’ll be guided through simple connection practices, movement, music and interactive experiences designed to help you relax, move out of your head and into your body.

What to expect

Heart connection

Engage in practices that invite greater presence, openness and connection with yourself and the people around you.

Movement and music

Use movement, sound and rhythm to release tension, awaken your senses and express yourself more freely.

Conscious play

Explore curiosity, playfulness and connection while staying aware of your needs, desires and boundaries.

Giving, receiving and energetic awareness

Notice the different experiences of initiating, receiving, leading, following and meeting another person with presence.

Optional sensual exploration

Some experiences may include the opportunity to explore sensual touch or deeper connection. These practices are always optional, clearly guided and based on active consent.

A held Temple environment

Enter a carefully facilitated space where choice, communication, respect and personal responsibility are central to every interaction.

This is not about performance, pressure or having to behave in a certain way. It is about slowing down, listening to yourself, expressing yourself authentically and discovering what becomes possible when people feel respected and free to choose their own level of participation.

Consent, Boundaries and Choice

Everything at A Taster of Love is invitational.

You never have to:

Touch another person or be touched.

Participate in every exercise.

Share more than feels comfortable.

Explore sensuality or intimacy.

Remain in an activity after you have changed your mind.

You are welcome to observe, modify an exercise, take a break or step out at any time.

Your boundaries will be respected. Your yes, no and maybe are all welcome.

Tickets for either the workshop, the temple party or both are available
Both men, women and couples welcome, the space will be monitored and held by trained temple facilitators. Pre-Purchased tickets are a must as this is a private event.
