Tasty is back in 2025 for another wild night of Queer debauchery and dance!

Yes, last year’s Tasty raid anniversary party was SO fabulous, we're doing it all over again this year - same place, same time, same glorious energy - as we pay tribute to Tasty, the iconic 90s Queer Melbourne/Naarm underground dance club and commemorate the infamous police raid that occurred there in August, 1994.

This unforgettable celebration of our community marks 31 years since the notorious Tasty Raid, when 467 patrons were unjustly strip-searched by Victoria Police. The raid, later deemed unlawful, garnered international outrage, becoming a pivotal moment in Australian LGBTQI+ history, often referred to as Victoria's Stonewall moment - with both rebellions sparked by homophobic police action, triggering legal battles and new beginnings for the gay rights movement and activism.

Now, we celebrate every August, to remember. To foster LGBTQI+ awareness and empowerment. To ensure that this may never happen again!

This year's fabulous, pride filled affair will again be held at Inflation, one of Melbourne/Naarm's most renowned party venues - multi-levelled, complete with techno dungeon and rooftop smoking area with DJs and of course the main, top-floor dancefloor featuring 5 legendary Tasty DJs. And, we've got a show! A main stage performance of the brand new Tasty theme song 'Tasty Strut' with the ever-fabulous Yummy burlesque crew, featuring among others, Valerie Hex, Jandruze and Bendy Ben.

DJs featured: on the top floor, an exclusive 4 hour b2b set from Peter McNamara and Gavin Campbell, plus sets from Tasty legends Debra Walters, Sugar Plump Fairy and Arlen de Silva!

In the basement, our first ever techno dancefloor, starring the incomparable goddess of Naarm techno, DJ Kiti whose dark magic dominated the Trough at Club 80 dancefloor for a decade.

Follow Mr Mark Davis down to Tasty, after his appearance at Hustle for The Laird’s week of leather, when he heads for our dirty techno dungeon with a dose of strict beats. Our talented Tasty basement lineup rounds out with the increasingly popular, Eric Della Bosca!

This year we'll be designating the entire ground level cafe area, as our cloakroom. Last year, the cloak was rather slow at peak times of the night. To improve things, we're providing more space and staff to keep you comfortable and the kiki rock n rolling!
