The workshop will feature valuable insights from Lisa Hopkins (CEO - Business Events Industry Aotearoa) on the latest trends, a comprehensive overview of the business events ecosystem, and engaging, hands-on activities to help you confidently connect with conference and incentive clients.

Open to both Taupō Business Event Partners and non-partners, this workshop welcomes anyone working in the business events sector or wanting to work in the sector. Limited spaces available!

About Anna Hayward:

Anna Hayward has over 20 years of experience in diverse sales and marketing roles within the tourism and hospitality sector. She has worked across local government, regional tourism organisations, international hotel groups, luxury lodges, public relations, and the oil industry.
Anna led the Auckland Convention Bureau, a division of Tataki Auckland Unlimited, for 14 years, where she played a key role in establishing the bureau in Auckland. Her leadership included overseeing two Australia-based business development managers, developing the first regional strategic Business Events Plan for Auckland, launching the Auckland Advocate Alliance programme (New Zealand’s first business events ambassador programme), and forming the Auckland International Business Events Advisory Group.
Anna has also served as Chair of the Convention Bureau of New Zealand and was the recipient of the Business Events Industry Aotearoa Outstanding Achievement Award in 2018.
