Childhood Cancer Sunflower Festival
Event description
We're back and boy are we excited to be opening our farm to the public again to enjoy our 6 acres of sunflowers. Please read all details below for further information and pricing to avoid disappointment.
We all know someone or someone who knows someone who has been effected by childhood cancer so this year we have chosen the Children's Cancer Institute to donate our profits to.
This year we are opening for a 2 week period for booked tickets only during the allocated opening hours which will be displayed on our social media platforms.
This year we are providing a self guided walk amongst the sunflowers showcasing their whole life cycle. From sunflowers that are not yet in bloom to those going to seed. We have strategically staged our plantings to show you how they evolve.
Pick your own sessions are available on the weekends and evening sessions where stated in the opening hours below. You will pay entry fee and then pay per stem that you pick from our designated picking areas.
On Sunday the 21st Jan we will have well known local and amazing lifestyle and birth photographer Zoe Wheatley taking photos for a fee per edited photo. Zoe being the generous soul she is, is also donating all her profits to the cause. Please book in for the sessions marked on the tickets if you would like to get a photo as she will only be there for the golden hours 5pm -7pm and spots are very limited.
Some session over the 2 week period have been allocated for PICK YOUR OWN SESSIONS so please look at the opening hours below to determine which days they are if you would like to pick your own flowers.
We have decided to spread our opening hours over mornings and evening to allow you to avoid the hottest part of the day and also decide whether you would like to experience the morning or the magnificent golden hour at sunset. The sun drops right behind our sunflowers providing the absolute best back drop. Sunset sessions sell out quick so be sure to book yours quickly if you want to experience the evening sessions
Our process will be the same as previous years where you book and secure your time slot online and then pay at the gate on arrival. We try to make this an affordable attraction for all but please know that we are a small family run business who is doing their bit for non for profit foundations. This is our way of giving back where we can in life. Our prices and opening hours are as follows:
