The Birthday Trip: Encore Screening

On Saturday September 19th, critically-acclaimed satire The Birthday Trip (trailer) returns to the Emerald City for one night only, screening at Sydney's only genuinely trapezoidal Cinema - The Reservoir in Surry Hills. Called "Compelling" by The Guardian, "Provocative" by The Conversation and a "Perverse" by SMH, The Birthday Trip is the caustic satire of the Sydney elite that's defied expectations across the country - landing at #20 in the national box office despite not having the backing of a traditional distributor.

The Reservoir is a rarely-used, barely-known Cinema in Surry Hills (Maps link here), a three-minute walk from Central Station. Though located within, of all places, a Rydges Hotel, the Reservoir Cinema is an intimate space with 5.1 sound and a certain je ne sais quoi.
