BADLANDS invites you to an intimate presentation of upcoming feature film The Birthday Trip, an intricate and wryly funny drama in the vein of Joachim Trier or Noah Baumbach that follows three upwardly mobile millennial couples as they descend on a luxury farmstay to celebrate a joint thirtieth birthday. Ahead of its Victorian premiere, this event also celebrates the publication of the film companion book In Lieu of a Film Festival Run, featuring writing from Ian Barr, Patrick Marlborough, Victoria Maxwell, Angus McGrath, Craig Quartermaine and Nathan Roche.

Taking place at the chic Thornbury Picture House, enjoy a complementary glass of sparkling wine on arrival, then after the screening, guests are invited to linger in the bar for a live reading from a special guest.
