Thanks so much for signing up!

Once you arrive, you can work on whatever suits your fancy: trail building, stage construction, projection screen construction, or decoration. Keep reading for more details, plus the location.

What to bring

All activities

Long sleeve shirt and pants so that nature doesn't brush up on you
Bug spray (although we haven't had mosquito problems so far)
Water and electrolytes. You will be sweating! Bring an ice cooler full of gatorade, wear a hydration pack... do what you got to do. Plan on drinking 1 liter per hour. Don't forget to replenish your salt!

Trail building

Here's stuff that really comes in handy. Bring what you've got.

Gloves!

Battery powered saws-all
Hack saw
Small branch lobbers
Twig clippers
Wood chipper
50-foot extension chords
Bucket or wheel barrow for moving wood chips around

Stage construction

Once again, if you have anything to contribute, awesome. If not, we'll figure it out.

Battery powdered rotary saw
Wood
Nails, nail gun, hammer
Screws, drill, drill bits

Projection screen construction

Chains (for hanging screens from branches... assuming that's possible. We might have to build PVC frames instead)
Plywood
White paint, paint brushes
Carabiners (for the chains)
Hecka tall ladder

Trail and stage decoration

Whatever you want! Lights, art, paper flowers... The theme of the show is animals, with an emphasis on ants.

Where to go

1401 Waldorf Ave; Austin, TX 78721

This address is the future site of Bethany Park. It's in a cul-de-sac, so street parking is pretty borked. However, you are welcome to park in the driveway of 1400 Waldorf (if there's space) or in the neighborhood. Just try not to park in front of mailboxes.

You'll find a trail entrance in the upper right corner of the lot (if you're facing the lot from the street). This is the southern-most corner. If you end up in the cemetary, you chose the wrong corner!

When to show up

Show up as early as 7:30am. It's okay to arrive late. Folks might not be there after 10:00am, though.
