Frog Friendly Backyards - Citizen Science & Frog Hotels

Have you ever wondered what native frog species call your backyard home? Come along this Spring school holidays and learn more about the frog hound in our local area, what they need to survive, and some easy ways that you can make your own backyard more frog friendly.

Our amazing guest presenter Holly Butterworth will share an informational talk about or local frogs and how we can help conserve them. You'll also have the opportunity to learn about FrogID, an amazing nation-wide citizen science initiative that allows members of the community to record frog calls and contribute valuable information to help researchers better understand and conserve Australia's native frog species.

Then it's time to get hands on! You'll be able to build your very own Frog Hotel to take home, providing shelter and habitat for frogs in your very own backyard!

This is a FREE event, perfect for families over the school holidays. All materials for the Frog Hotels will be provided, and the event will be fully catered with food and drinks available.
