You are invited to join Pare Wainui for a 3 hour healing Breathwork ceremony to experience TE MAURI o TE HĀ (the essence of the breath).

Our tinana (body) is a sacred temple that holds the keys to a fully embodied & thriving life. It is our inner compass guided by sensations, emotions & feelings that colour and bring depth to our human experience. Throughout our journey the tinana will store all of the experiences, emotions and traumas (negative & positive) that will remain stuck & manifest in unhealthy ways if we do not consciously and actively work to release & integrate all that no longer serves, from our wairua, hinengaro, tinana, whānau (spirit, mind, body, family/relationships) on a regular basis.

TE HĀ ĀIO supports you to trust your mana motuhake (inner authority) and the ancient wisdom of the tinana & TE HĀ to guide you, hold you, and support you to open, release, integrate & heal. Awaken your wairua & mauri (spirit & life-force) to embody & align with your highest truth, in a safe & supportive container.

You may expect to have a spiritual experience, an emotional/physical release, physical healing, an activation of innate gifts or a rush of insight, though each person will be different.

Pare weaves energy and bodywork into the space to assist you to bridge the gap between your human self and your higher self. Supporting you in the physical, emotional, mental & spiritual realms to help bring you into overall coherence.

This is an 18+ event and an all-inclusive space where all bodies are welcome.

Contraindications:

Breathwork results in certain physiological changes in the body and can also result in intense physical and emotional release. As a pre-caution, the following conditions are contraindicated in particular breathwork practices.

It is crucial that you inform Pare if any of the following are relevant to you:

Cardiovascular disease
Heart attacks, high blood pressure, and angina
Glaucoma or retinal detachment
Recent injury or surgery
Any condition that requires you to take medication
Panic Attacks or psychosis
Seizures, epilepsy
Severe mental illness
Aneurysms (or family history)
Pregnant and/or breastfeeding
Diabetes
Uncontrolled thyroid conditions
Severe asthma
Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric conditions

What to bring:

An open heart, open mind and willing spirit
Yoga mat or *blanket
Pillow (optional)
Water bottle
Journal and pen
Eyemask
Lip balm

+ *Bring an extra blanket to lay under for added comfort during your journey (optional)
+ Feel free to bring any special items you may want to support your journey. eg. tinctures, crystals, essential oils etc

Preparation:
Eat a light meal beforehand. Avoid having a full belly of kai.

What to expect:

Doors will open at 4:40pm to allow you to ground into the space and set up.
We will open at 5pm sharp with karakia, introductions, and guidance/demonstration of the BreathWav technique.
You will be guided through embodiment practices to support you to anchor into the space and begin to connect deeper in preparation for the journey.
You will be lead through a 60 minute BreathWav journey where you will then be gently guided to a soft landing for restoration & integration.
We will open an integration circle for anyone who may want to share their experience.
We will close with a karakia and leave feeling open, clear, and connected by 8pm.

Q. What is Breathwork?

A. Breathwork is a safe modality and ancient practice that supports holistic healing by gently repatterning the nervous system and bringing the mind, body and spirit into coherence. You will be guided through the BreathWav technique, a conscious connected circular breath through an open mouth that doesn't push for a release but invites participants to follow the rhythm of their breath and trust in the innate intelligence of the tinana to heal and rebalance itself.

Q. Who is this for?

A. Breathwork is for anyone who's interested in holistic healing and wants to improve their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being as well as their relationships through the use of the BreathWav.

Q. Is Breathwork safe for children?

A. Breathwork is safe for children however a 1:1 session is recommended and would better serve.

Q. I have one or more of the listed contraindications. What can I do?

A. Contact Pare to inform her of the contraindication/s. She will advise of the most suitable option/s moving forward.

Q. Do you offer refunds?

A. No, there are no refunds, however, there are 2 options:

Use your ticket as credit to a future event (ONLY valid for a one-time transfer to an upcoming event within 3 months of original purchase)
Transfer your ticket to a friend up to 24 hours prior to the event (contact Pare directly to confirm with order # and name of new recipient)
