Te Hononga (Connection) - Maori Art Exhibition

SAVA presents: Te Hononga (Connection) - a group art exhibition bringing together four Māori artists from across Aotearoa, now living in Western Australia.

"Across the seas and on different whenua, we have come together through art, carrying with us the stories and creative expression passed down through our tūpuna. From our whenua to our wairua, art becomes a way of remembering where we come from, expressing who we are, and connecting us to one another.

Te Hononga speaks to the relationships that bind us. To our whakapapa, our culture, our whenua, and to each other. For Māori living away from Aotearoa, these connections can become even more meaningful.

This exhibition is an opportunity for our Māori community in Western Australia to come together, share stories, experience art, have a kai, and connect.
