This 2 hour session is suitable for those wanting to learn how to form sentences in te reo Māori. You don't necessarily need to have any knowledge of Māori language before coming - but knowing some will certainly help!

The session will cover;

pronouns (I, you, we, they, he, she)
common verbs (sleep, walk, run, go, swim, stand, sit, work, play, sing etc.)
how to structure simple sentences in the past, present, and future tense

Although this class covers grammar, it will be done in an interactive way - so you need to be willing to give the language a go, through participation in different activities with your classmates. It might require you to step out of your comfort zone - but that's how we learn!

Te Reo Māori teacher Kate White is facilitating this session, to give you a chance to practice using te reo, improve your pronunciation and develop a better understanding of the language.
