Description

Join Steep on 26 September 2026 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival through one of the most natural pairings in Chinese culture: tea and mooncakes.

Throughout the experience, we will explore three Chinese teas paired with three different mooncakes, discovering how the aroma, texture, sweetness and finish of each tea can transform the way we experience the mooncake.

Your afternoon will include:

  • A guided introduction to the Mid-Autumn Festival and the tradition of mooncakes

  • An introduction to three different styles of Chinese tea

  • A demonstration of Gongfu tea preparation

  • Guided tasting and conversation around each pairing

  • Time to relax, enjoy the tea and connect with fellow guests

  • The opportunity to purchase your favourite teas and mooncakes

No prior knowledge of Chinese tea is required. Whether you are already a tea enthusiast or simply curious to try something new, this experience is designed to be welcoming, relaxed and accessible.
