I would love to welcome you onto the 'tea stage' where we will travel to the the foothills of the mountains, fog and mist rolling in each morning. Where the history of Tea is ancient and rich, straying off the pages of record into legend and lore passed down through generations of farmers, merchants and tea lovers.

Every piece in this space breaths a story and is hand-build by Natan. The pots and bowls have emerged from Natan's interest in ceramics, the interior is designed from recycled wood. Tea is a living art, generating a beauty that we can appreciate with all the senses.

The tea spirit grows like the trees and it is with curiosity for the 'ever evolving', I wish to extend this offering to you!

WE DRINK THE CLOUDS

This is a journey through the simple art of tea. Every tea is different, in fact, every bowl of the same tea is different.

For our first session at the tea space we enjoyed a one of a kind Dancong Oolong tea. The processing from tree to leaf developed uniquely at Phoenix mountain, eventually becoming like no other Oolong. Dancong literally means "single bush", because tea there was famously harvested and processed from individual trees. A single tree's tea was collected and separated , processed in its own way and then sold in the quantity it produced that year. These seperate trees became famous in the tea world. Each tree had its own name, often based on the fragrance of the tea. As Dancong tea reached its true potential it was known as one of the brightest and best of the dragons to fly.

** Please be prompt, the door closes when the ceremony starts. There are benches in the courtyard outside the house. You can wait here until the tea space is ready to receive you.
